Lynn finds joy in artistic pursuits, especially in art, music and writing. Her dedication was evident when she was awarded a Certificate of Achievement in 1992, recognising her as the top art student at Crescent’s Girls’ School. This early recognition fueled her determination to pursue her artistic dreams. Her creative journey continued to flourish, and in 1998, she received awards in two nationwide art competitions. 

After graduating with a BA and a Diploma in Education, she played a pivotal role in shaping young artists and fostering creativity in the classroom. In 2002, she was awarded the coveted “Outstanding Contribution Award (Individual).” She was also an invited speaker for the Ministry of Education’s art teacher recruitment exercise in the same year. In 2003, the Ministry of Education’s Art Unit, Curriculum Planning, and Development Division invited her to contribute an article on the teaching of art, which was circulated to schools all across Singapore. In 2004, she was one of the organising committee members for the Singapore Youth Art Festival.

As an educator and mentor, her guidance has led her students to ace their national art examinations and won top art awards. Just to name a few: 1st Prize (Straits Time Pocket Money Fund National Art Competition, Singapore), 2nd Prize (WWF Malaysia National Art Competition), one of the 32 winning entries out of 12,563 entries worldwide. (Kao International Art Competition, Japan).  Her passion for art also brought her to underserved children in Children’s Homes and for many years, she taught art to the masses by conducting free art workshops in the public library.
